Push Back racking allows you to store multiple SKUs on different lane levels, enabling easy access. Combined with proper warehouse management, you can maintain FIFO (first in, first out) by emptying the oldest lanes.
Each level in a push back system holds a series of nested rolling cars which operate in a lane that slopes upwards away from the pick face. When unloading, the front pallet is removed and the rear pallets automatically come forward to the front picking position.
Operators can store product from 2-6 pallets deep, with front-only loading from a single aisle. Push Back offers more versatile storage than Drive-In rack because each lane flows independently and vertical storage operates separately from lanes below.
